Van Horn Law Group, P.A. Recognized by Florida Trend as One of Top 100 Companies to Work for in Florida

Florida Trend magazine, the state’s leading business magazine, named Broward County-based Van Horn Law Group, P.A. as among Florida’s top 100 companies to work for in the category of best small companies.  Van Horn Law Group is one of the top five bankruptcy firms in state and the largest bankruptcy firm in Broward County based on cases filed over the last 12 months (www.pacer.gov).

To be selected for this award, Florida Trend partnered with Workforce Research Group to survey participating firms regarding company policies, practices and demographics. A second survey went to a randomly selected group of each firm’s employees, who responded – anonymously – to 72 statements on a five-point agreement scale. The survey also included two open-ended questions and seven demographic questions focused on  leadership and planning; corporate culture and communications; role satisfaction; work environment; relationship with supervisor; training and development; pay and benefits; and overall engagement. 

Van Horn Law Group made the cut because of its ongoing appreciation of its team.  Some examples include: monthly team meetings where staffers are celebrated for their professional successes, excellent client reviews, and goals met; special team gatherings that include motivational speakers followed by social time, including wine tastings and over-the-top holiday parties; team participation in events supporting causes and events, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids’ Sake; annual awards including Team of the Year, Client Choice Award and Team Member of the Year; and recognition for personal successes and celebrations of birthdays and holidays.
